A rare case report of vulval fibroadenoma

Vulval fibroadenoma is an extremely rare entity seen in women of the age group 20-80 years. Only 50 cases ectopic benign mammary tissue have been reported medical literature, with vulva being second most common extra-mammary site. We report a case 44 years old female, para 2 live 2, who presented initially endophytic swelling her for 6-7 months, which became exophytic since associated pain 1 month and purulent discharge days. On examination, 4×2 cm fleshy mass cauliflower-like appearance was noted on right labia majora, just below minora no active discharge. Based clinical our differential diagnosis included condyloma accuminata, infected sebaceous cyst, hidradenoma papilliferum, apocrine adenoma, Bartholin’s cyst phyllodes tumour. A surface biopsy cytology taken from growth suggestive cyst. Pus culture showed growth. She underwent excisional subsequently mm margin clearance. Histopathology as vulval stromal cellularity. unique feature that unlike many other worldwide. useful tool to arrive at preoperative diagnosis. Surgical excision clear safe recommended avoid recurrence. If malignancy histopathology, testing hormone receptors can be helpful. Women generally more aware about such abnormal lesions should immediately.
